Your Pre-Initial Visit
If you have had any x-rays or other scans done related to your spine, please bring those to your first appointment. Also, to take advantage of more time at your first consultation, please download the intake forms and fill them out to the best of your knowledge. We ask that you arrive 15 minutes before your appointment if you have completed the form and 30 minutes before your appointment if you are going to complete the forms in the office. This allows us to make sure all patients are seen timely. We do pride ourselves in always running on time and ask your consideration with this appointment and any follow ups to help us maintain that.
Your Initial Visit
Your initial visit consists of a thorough chiropractic, neuro-musculoskeletal exam, not just focusing on your present complaints but also on correcting your posture and devising a plan specific to your situation to help your current condition, improve your posture, prevent injuries and lead you to a better healthy lifestyle.
At your first visit Dr. Maalouf will go over the intake form and ask you questions regarding your current problem and medical history. Then an exam will be performed that comprise: Postural and gait evaluation, some orthopedic tests, ranges of motion of your spine, reflexes, muscles strength. If needed, we would refer you to get x-rays or other diagnostic imaging. After analyzing all the information we’ll give you a report of finding and explanation regarding your complaint(s) and if the doctor is able to help you, he would arrange a treatment plan to your specific problem and many times will perform a treatment with your consent at the initial visit. If he is unable to help you, he’ll refer you to the appropriate specialist. Nothing we do here is without your consent.
